Purpose

There are so many people who are unaware of the tortures that the Uighur Muslims have to endure in these camps, and I would like to spread awareness. The media often overlooks this minority and if more people ae not educated on this topic, then only more of the Uighurs will be subjected to harsh treatment solely due to their religious beliefs.

What's Happening?

Starting in 2013, Uighur Muslims started to be sent to "re-education camps". Since then, up to 3,000,000 of them have been taken from their homes, and sent to live in these camps. However, these camps are not "re-education camps" as claimed, and are actually more like concentration camps. The Chinese government essentially aims for the Uighurs to forsake their religion and instead follow only the Chinse Communist Party.

Life Within the Camps

In the camps, the Uighurs are subjects of gross torture.The Uighurs are sleep deprived due to the constant interrogations. During said interrogations, they are also tortured, often restrained in "tiger chairs" and electrocuted. While in the camps, the Uighurs are used as test subjects to medical procedures and forced to take various pills and are injected with various substances. In addition, they are forced to drink alcohol and eat pork, both of which go against Islamic beliefs.
